About StrikeHike

StrikeHike is an independent project: descriptive options analytics for Indian markets, built and run by one person.

Prakash Kantumutchu — known online as KP and This is KP — builds and maintains StrikeHike. His work and writing are at thisiskp.in, and the code is on GitHub.

The site began as a way to make option Greeks and implied volatility legible without a terminal. It shows what the numbers are and how they changed; it does not say what to do with them.

Everything on StrikeHike is free. There are no accounts required to read the public pages, no advertising, and no sponsored content inside the analytics.

What it runs on

A FastAPI service and a React front end, Postgres through Supabase, Redis for live state, and a single Lightsail instance. The options maths is Black-Scholes with an implied-volatility solver; the sky comes from Swiss Ephemeris. The engineering notes and the research page describe what was built, what broke and what was measured.

What it is not

  • It is not investment advice, and the operator is not registered with SEBI as an adviser or analyst.
  • It does not send orders anywhere, and it does not connect to an account that holds positions.
  • It does not sell tips, courses or managed positions.
  • While the market feed is a mock, every number is labelled as demo data.

Information and analytics only. It is not investment advice.
